Scissors bite always accompanied by varying degrees of facial asymmetry. Transverse discrepancies in adults are very difficult to treat, especially in cases that exhibit vertical overlapping of the posterior teeth.
This case report illustrates the use of glass ionomer temporary filling (left site) and buccal-lingual elastics (right site) to treat the scissors bite.
